Hello,
I’m Cheryl Harris. My JustBeads User Name is cherylsart. I can't tell you how happy I am to be chosen as the  July featured artist. I've always loved this site and I've been waiting anxiously for the grand re-opening!

I've been an artist all my life. From the time I was a toddler, I've been creating in various media. I worked in oil paints and graphite pencil as a teen and young adult, and in colored pencil later on. I've been doing portraits for almost 40 years.
I grew up during the 60's so of course I was into beads, and often made my own jewelry. But it wasn't until about 8 years ago that I really got into the world of beads. I started working in polymer clay and then, three years ago, I bought a Hot Head torch and some glass rods.  I enjoy the challenges of both polymer clay and glass and it's nice to be able to switch between the two mediums and even incorporate the two.
I'll be listing lots of lampwork beads this month as well as my polymer clay beads. I hope you'll have a look and find something you just can't live without!
