| Q. |
How do I list an item for sale? |
| A. |
You can list an item for sale by clicking
on "Sell Here" located on the right side of our Home Page
under our "Welcome" banner or by navigating to the List an Item form located on the
For Sellers page. Listing an item is a three-step
process. In the first step, you can upload a picture (if you have
one). In the second step, you fill in the auction parameters including
Starting Bid, Reserve Price, Item Title, Item Description, etc.
In the final step, you review your item listing to make sure it is correct,
check the fees that will be assessed (if any) and submit the item when
you are satisfied it is correct. |
| Q. |
Can I edit my auction after it starts? |
| A. |
You can change your original auction description,
title, category, quantity, payment types accepted, or international shipping
preference once your auction has been posted, provided that no one has placed
a bid on the auction. Just click on "For Sellers"
at the top of any of our pages and then on "Edit your listing". |
| Q. |
How do I close/cancel my auction? |
| A. |
Sellers have the ability to cancel their auctions at any time, however
if your item already has bids, you are obligated to sell to the high bidder
even if you end the auction early. To cancel your auction click on
"For Sellers" at the top of any of our
pages and then on "Cancel my Auction". |
| Q. |
How do I add a photo to my auction? |
| A. |
Adding photos to your auction attracts potential bidders and improves
your chance for a successful and profitable auction. You can add as many
images to your auction as you wish. You can upload the first image directly from
your computer to our servers. If you need to add more than one, you can
link to your images hosted on a different site in your auction description.
Your images must be either .jpg or .gif files.
To upload your image directly from your computer to our servers:
- While viewing our "Sell your Item" page, look Under the heading titled "Upload your Picture(s)". Click on the "Browse"
button. A new window will pop up where you can select your images.
In this new window, be sure to select "All Files(*.*)" from the "Files of type"
pull-down menu at the bottom of the window so that all of your image files are
available for upload. Locate and select your .jpg or .gif file. Then click
on the "Open" button. If you don't see a "Browse" button, you should upgrade
to a more recent version of your browser. Please note: The maximum
recommended individual image size is 500k or less.
- Click on "Continue." There may be a delay while your picture is sent
to us. When your picture is uploaded, you will be able to preview
the photo. If you are satisfied with the photo you selected, click
on the "Continue" button to continue the listing process.
To display your images that have already been uploaded to another web site:
While viewing our "Sell your Item" page, enter its URL in the field provided under the heading "Enter Your Picture
URL". Alternatively, you can display them by adding a line of HTML
code in your item description that points to that web site's address and looks like
this:

| Q. |
May I include links in my Auctions or About ME page? |
| A. |
Auction listings and About Me pages may only include text descriptions, graphics and pictures you supply to our site that
describe the item for sale. You may not use them to promote sales elsewhere.
JustBeads does not permit its members to place the following types of links in your Auction Listings or on your About Me pages:
- Links that directly offer to sell any merchandise other than currently listed items on the JustBeads site.
- Links to other online trading sites or pages, including auctions and fixed-price formats.
- Links to sites offering the same merchandise for the same or lower price (including the Buy It Now price).
Auction listings and About Me pages that do not meet this policy may be removed.

| Q. |
How do I add a "Thumbnail" photo to my auction listing? |
| A. |
It's easy to add a "Thumbnail" photo to your auction
listing. While viewing the "Sell your Item" page, Simply upload your photo

auction photo. We will automatically re-size it for you. Please make sure that the file to be thumbnailed exists
either in your local drive or LAN. (Only .JPG and .GIF images are supported).
Files larger than 600x400 do not resize nicely. |

| Q. |
How are bid increments determined? |
| A. |
The bid increments get bigger as the bid price increases. The
table below outlines the different increment levels. For example,
let's say an item is showing a current high bid of $1.00. The
increment at that level is 25 cents, which means you have to bid a minimum
of $1.25. The bid amount will continue to be raised in 25-cent
increments until bidding reaches $10.00. At that point, the
increment will change and the new increment will be $1.00.

items from a list of closed auctions and re-list all of them with a

My Auction closed with a Winner, What do I do next? |

- Send the winner an email. The buyer and seller are responsible
for contacting each other to arrange payment and shipping of the item sold.
In your email, you should include the following information:

- Shipping costs.
- Your address, so your winner can send you a check if you accept payment by checks.
- Information on your payment and shipping policy.
Also, you should ask the winner to respond to your email with a shipping
address.
- Wait for payment to be received. If a winner is paying by check,
we recommend you deposit the check and wait for it to clear before you
send the item.
- Ship the item.
- Send the winner an email informing the winner that the item has been
shipped. Be sure to included an estimated time of arrival.
- Provide feedback about your experience with the winner.
|
| Q. |
How do I contact the winning bidder(s)? |
| A. |
During the auction, you can click on "Bid History" while viewing an
item's page and then on any bidders User Name to send a message via our
message center to that person. If your item "sells", you will be
sent an email message containing the name and addresses of any winning
bidders After the auction ends. |
| Q. |
What if a bidder does not respond? |
| A. |
Contact the bidder and try to resolve the dispute directly. You
must allow a minimum of 14 calendar days for the bidder to respond to you. Please
be patient, your bidder may have a legitimate reason for not responding
right away. If you cannot contact the high bidder after a period of 14 days,
you should notify Customer Service. Upon receipt
of your message, we will make every attempt to reach out to the buyer on your
behalf. If we are unsuccessful in our endeavor, we will credit your account
accordingly. Please note: ALL requests for credit must be made
within 30 days of the close of Auction. |
| Q. |
How do I set up a credit account? |
| A. |
All registered users of JustBeads.com are automatically set up with a "cash only"
account limited to $10.00. This will allow you to list a limited number of items
without having to place a credit card on file. Once your account balance reaches
this limit you will not be able to use any listing options until a payment is made or
you set up a credit account with us. You can place your credit card
on file with us by navigating to our For Sellers
page and selecting the "Place Credit Card on File" function.
|
| Q. |
How do I Pay my account? |
| A. |
Credit card accounts are debited on the 15th of each month for the
preceeding 30 days. Sellers who maintain "cash" accounts have
until the end the month before payment is due. Please keep in
mind, however, that sellers who maintain "cash" accounts will NOT
be able to list any items once they have exceeded their $10.00 credit
limit.

You may place a proxy bid or a straight bid. Learn more about regular

|
| Q. |
How does "Proxy Bid" work? |
| A. |
The JustBeads.com Proxy bidding feature places bids on your behalf at the
lowest possible increments. Simply enter your maximum bid (the
highest amount you are willing to pay).
The goal of Proxy bidding is for you to win the auction at the lowest
possible price. Your maximum bid is only placed when another bidder
also bids up to that amount or when the reserve price is equal to or
greater than your maximum bid.
Bids will increase based on the bid increment set for the auction.
Therefore, the current bid will equal the former bid plus the bid
increment.
Example 1: An item's current bid is $3.00, and the bid increment is $0.25
cents. Vikki enters a maximum bid of $6.00, so Vikki becomes the
high bidder and the current bid reads $3.25.
Example 2: An item's start price is $3.00. Bettina enters a maximum
bid of $7.00. Bettina is the current high bidder at $3.00.
Then Vikki enters a maximum bid of $6.00. The current bid is now
$6.25 since Bettina has a higher maximum bid.
|
| Q. |
What are Bid Increments? |
| A. |
Any new bid must be greater than the current high bid. The additional
amount you're required to bid depends on the price of the item being
auctioned. (In other words, bid increments are determined by the item's
price.) For example, if you want an item with a current price of $11.00,
then you must bid at least $12.00
The table below shows the required bid increments for JustBeads.com Auctions:

|
| Q. |
How do I Cancel a Bid? |
| A. |
After you place a bid on the auction item page, you'll be taken to a
Preview Bid page. As long as you DO NOT click on the "Submit Bid"
button on this page the bid won't be placed. You cannot cancel your
bid after you've confirmed it (i.e., after you have clicked on "Submit Bid").
Please don't bid on an item if you're uncertain that you can pay for it.
|
| Q. |
What is a RESERVE Price? |
| A. |
The reserve price is the lowest price the seller is willing to accept
for the auction item.
When posting an auction, a seller sets a starting price. This amount
is usually low, allowing the seller to attract bidders who then drive up
the price naturally, by placing bids.
The seller can also choose to set a reserve price. This price is
higher than the starting price. If the reserve price isn't met by
the close of the auction, the item won't be sold. Neither the bidder
nor the seller will be under obligation to complete the sale, and no
contact information will be exchanged.
If an auction has a reserve price that hasn't yet been met, this
information will be clearly stated in the auction.
A seller usually specifies a reserve price if she is unsure of the real
value of an item and wants to reserve the right to not sell if the market
value is less than expected.
For example, a seller may set the reserve price on a vintage Bead at $35.00
but actually start the auction at $17.00. Any bid under $35.00 won't win
the auction. |
| Q. |
What is a BUY IT NOW price? |
| A. |
The BUY IT NOW price is the price at which a seller is willing to
close their auction immediately and sell their item. If a bidder
offers a bid equal to the auction's BUY IT NOW price, that bidder
automatically wins the auction. However, the BUY IT NOW price
doesn't have to be met in order for an auction to close with a sale.
It's important to remember that when you bid the BUY IT NOW price on an
auction, you're choosing to win the auction immediately for that exact
price. Therefore, by bidding the BUY IT NOW price, you override the
automatic bidding process. If you prefer to use automatic bidding
when bidding on an auction that has a BUY IT NOW price, make sure to place
your maximum bid below the BUY IT NOW price amount. |
| Q. |
I've been outbid. What should I do? |
| A. |
JustBeads.com notifies you via email when you've been outbid. Do
you still want the item? Are you willing to pay more for it?
Then you'll need to bid again.
In your outbid notification email, click on the link to the auction or cut
and paste the URL into your browser. This will take you to the
auction listing where you can enter a bid higher than the current high
bid. |
| Q. |
I Won the Auction. What do I do Next? |
| A. |
Congratulations! Here's what happens next:
- Both seller and Buyer are obligated to contact eachother as soon as
possible after the close of auction.
- Payment and shipping options are determined by the seller.
Please follow the seller's instructions to complete the transaction.
If the seller requests that you pay before the item is shipped, please
complete your payment in order to receive your item.
- Now your auction item is on its way to you.
- We welcome your feedback on the seller.
Feedback can be a helpful source of information for you and other JustBeads.com users. |
| Q. |
What if the Seller never ships the Item? |
| A. |
Contact the Seller and try to resolve the dispute directly. You
must allow 5 calendar days for the Seller to respond to you. Please
be patient, the Seller may have a legitimate reason for not responding
right away. If you cannot contact the Seller after 14 days,
notify Customer Service, and we
will be happy to intercede on your behalf. |

| Q. |
What is a reserve price? |
| A. |
A reserve price is the lowest price that a seller is willing to sell
their item for. It is higher than the minimum bid price and is not
known to bidders until a successful bid has exceeded it. Sellers are
NOT obligated to sell merchandise at bids that have not met their reserve
price. If your maximum bid is lower than the seller's reserve,
"Reserve Not Met" will remain next to the item price. |
| Q. |
How does a Dutch Auction work? |
| A. |
This fast-paced, free-for-all format is perfect if you have multiple,
identical items to sell. Sellers start by listing a minimum price,
or starting bid, and the number of items for sale. Bidders specify
both a bid price and the quantity they want to buy. All winning
bidders pay the same price—which is the lowest successful bid. That
might be less than what you bid!
If there are more buyers than items, the earliest successful bids get the
goods. Higher bidders get the quantities they've asked for. |
| Q. |
